St. Monica Institute of
Religious Studies (SMIRS)
run by the Order of the Discalced Augustinians, offers courses on Theological and Religious Studies. It was founded on 2004 and formed already a lot of students, OAD and from other congregations, male and female, who are already active in their priestly ministry
of in their apostolate.
The academic body is composed by OAD priests, diocesan priests, sisters, lay
professors. It’s a four year course with special focusing on consecrated life according to the Augustinian spirituality. The exams “de universa” and “ad audiendas confessions” for the candidates for priesthood and the final thesis for
all show the maturity of the candidates. Classes from Monday to Friday in its proper building at upper Tabor Hill. If there is a need, boarding and lodging can be offered.
